Who’s with me when I say that washing your hair is one of the worst tasks to do on this planet. I get that freshly washed hair is the best feeling on this planet but the process to get there just wears me down. Enter stage left: dry shampoo. Dry shampoo has got the be up there in my top five favourite beauty products. I don’t go anywhere without it.
I would like to consider myself somewhat of a dry shampoo connoisseur, I’ve tried my fair of brands and have settled on one in particular: Soap and Glory Rushower. It’s scented with their Original Pink scented so not only does it add volume and banish oiliness, it also perfumes your hair with their iconic rose, madarin and bergamot scent. This product also has a secret super hero, the scent is friction released! That means that as your touch and ruffle your hair throughout the day , new little bursts of scent are released, meaning your hair will stay smelling fresh all day. Now, I’m lucky to have light hair that doesn’t really show ‘dustiness’ from dry shampoo, so I don’t think I would be the right person to comment on this. But I did pass over a can to my brunette housemates and I can confirm that this dry shampoo works miracles, whilst simultaneously staying invisible. So here’s five days of hair inspiration for when you just don’t fancy washing your hair…
Straight and flyaway – make the most of freshly washed hair by leaving it to air dry and part naturally. If you’re after a little bit more volume, spray a little bit of Rushower on to your finger tips and work into you scalp.
Beachy waves – utilise the natural oils from you day to hair to cling on to some perfectly tousled beach waves. Remember to use a large barrel curling wand and alternate the direction of the curls to achieve the most perfect waves that will you having looking like you stepped straight off the beach. A spritz of Rushower in the roots will absorb any extra oil and add texture to the lengths of your hair.
The classic pony – take advantage of the oil in your hair to create a sharp centre parting then pull your hair into a sleek, low ponytail at the nape of your neck. If you need a little bit of a de-grease in your roots, spritz some Rushower into the palms of your hands and then gently smooth over the top of your hair to take away some of the oiliness.
Accessorise – by this point you might need a little bit more of a distraction for your day 4 hair. But now worries, accessorising is very SS18, the brughter and louder the better – so get creative!
